The Sontolon Foundation regularly organizes inclusive artwork and educational sessions in Khoriapara, welcoming all children, including those with autism, to participate in learning and creative activities. In recent sessions, children explored solutions to problems from their textbooks and engaged in discussions about social and moral values, fostering critical thinking, curiosity, and confidence.
A special highlight of these sessions is the children’s artwork, through which they creatively depict their village and express their love for their surroundings. The drawings are impressive, reflecting both imagination and a deep connection to their community.
Looking ahead, we plan to expand these initiatives to further nurture their skills:
- Encouraging careful observation of nature, colors, and the environment
- Incorporating storytelling or messages into their artwork
- Teaching new artistic techniques, such as shading, perspective, and other simple art methods, with guidance from friends and volunteers
- Including elements of the village’s history and cultural heritage
By integrating these elements, the sessions aim to highlight the richness of rural culture and the creative talents of all children, including those with autism, and to bring their voices and expressions to a broader, even national, audience. Our heartfelt prayers and best wishes remain with all the children for their continued growth, learning, and love for Khoriapara.
